BetaList Latest Startups API and MCP — Newest Launches With Taglines and Links
Ask for the latest startups on BetaList and get them back newest first, each with its name, tagline, logo image and BetaList link. Set max_items to choose how many (up to 250) and start_page to move further down the list.
- You send
- how many startups you want (max_items, up to 250) and, optionally, the page to start from
- You get back
- the newest BetaList startups, newest first, each with name, tagline, logo image and BetaList link
- Coverage
- BetaList records with a public page.
- Price
- 1 point per returned record — $1 per 1,000
- Billed per record actually returned, capped by max_items. A request that returns nothing costs nothing.
Ways to get this data
Three approaches teams use today, and where each one runs into trouble.
| Approach | What it takes | Cost | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| BetaList directly | Open the page on BetaList and scroll through the list | Free, and slow | Fine for one record, useless across a list, and the layout differs on every platform |
| Building a scraper | Write it, host it, and repair it when BetaList changes its pages | Engineering time | A maintenance commitment for something that isn't your product |
| NeuralVerge | One request, the same shape as every other source in the catalog | $1 per 1,000, misses not billed | Returns what BetaList publishes at request time. Other platforms are separate sources with the same request format |

}How to run it
The same lookup works from the app, the API, or as a tool an agent can call mid-task.
Results come back in the same envelope as every other source: a session id, a readable summary, the structured result and the points charged. max_items caps how many records are returned and billed.

Coverage, freshness and limits
What this source covers, how fresh it is, and where it stops.
BetaList records with a public page.
Read at request time, so the answer reflects the platform as it stands when you ask.
This source returns information BetaList shows publicly. Every response carries the session id you can trace.
- —Only name, tagline, logo and link per startup. Description, makers and topics are on the BetaList startup page.
- —No keyword or topic filter on this list. BetaList startup search and BetaList topic startups cover those.
- —Different startups can share a name and tagline in a list, as the two sample rows do. Key on id or url, not name.
