Tracxn Company List API and MCP — Startups from a Tracxn List with Funding and Stage
Send the link to a Tracxn list page, such as an explore list or a sector companies page, and get its companies back as a list: name, description, founded year, city and country, stage, total funding, investors, Tracxn score and competitor rank. Set max_items to cap how many come back.
- You send
- the link to a Tracxn list page (an explore list or a sector companies page), plus an optional max_items
- You get back
- the companies on that list with description, founded year, location, stage, total funding, investors, Tracxn score and competitor rank
- Coverage
- Tracxn records with a public page.
- Price
- 1 point per returned record — $1 per 1,000
- Billed per record actually returned, capped by max_items. A request that returns nothing costs nothing.
Ways to get this data
Three approaches teams use today, and where each one runs into trouble.
| Approach | What it takes | Cost | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tracxn directly | Open the page on Tracxn and scroll through the list | Free, and slow | Fine for one record, useless across a list, and the layout differs on every platform |
| Building a scraper | Write it, host it, and repair it when Tracxn changes its pages | Engineering time | A maintenance commitment for something that isn't your product |
| NeuralVerge | One request, the same shape as every other source in the catalog | $1 per 1,000, misses not billed | Returns what Tracxn publishes at request time. Other platforms are separate sources with the same request format |

}How to run it
The same lookup works from the app, the API, or as a tool an agent can call mid-task.
Results come back in the same envelope as every other source: a session id, a readable summary, the structured result and the points charged. max_items caps how many records are returned and billed.

Where this field shows up in an actual workflow.
Pull the startups of a Tracxn list for a market and sort them by funding or stage.
Build a target list of funded companies in a niche, with stage and latest round.
Read competitor rank and score for the companies on a list.
Load company names, locations and funding into a pipeline.
Coverage, freshness and limits
What this source covers, how fresh it is, and where it stops.
Tracxn records with a public page.
Read at request time, so the answer reflects the platform as it stands when you ask.
This source returns information Tracxn shows publicly. Every response carries the session id you can trace.
- —max_items is capped at 5 per run for this source, so large lists are read a few companies at a time.
- —Some entries have no company page, so id, url and alias are null and you cannot follow them to Tracxn company.
- —Revenue, employee count and valuation are null on list pages. Use Tracxn company for those.
