}- You send
- A Target TCIN or product URL, with optional max_items and start_page
- You get back
- Questions with author, votes, date and nested answers
- Coverage
- What Target.com shows publicly for the request.
- Price
- 1 point per returned question, up to 500 per request — $1 per 1,000
- Billed per record actually returned, capped by max_items. A request that returns nothing costs nothing.
Ways to get this data
Three approaches teams use today, and where each one runs into trouble.
| Approach | What it takes | Cost | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browsing the site by hand | Open the Q&A section and read through it | Free, and slow | Fine for a few questions, useless across a catalog |
| Building a scraper | Write it, host it, and repair it when Target changes the results page | Engineering time | A maintenance commitment for something that isn't your product |
| NeuralVerge | One request, the input and options as parameters | $1 per 1,000, misses not billed | A broad request returns a broad — and larger, more expensive — result set |
What you get back
Every field in the response shown above.
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
total_items | number | How many questions were returned in this batch (capped by max_items). |
id | string | Question identifier. |
text | string | The question as asked. |
author | string | Name of the person who asked. |
badges | array | Badges on the question, if any. |
helpful_count | number | Number of helpful votes. |
unhelpful_count | number | Number of unhelpful votes. |
created_at | string | When the question was posted. |
updated_at | string | When the question was last updated. |
answer_count | number | Number of answers. |
answers | array | Answers to the question, each with id, text, author, badges, vote counts and dates (for example a BRAND_EXPERT badge on a brand reply). |
How to run it
The same lookup works from the app, the API, or as a tool an agent can call mid-task.
product is the only required field. max_items caps the questions returned (up to 500, defaults to 25) and sets what you are billed for; each question carries its answers in the answers array.

Coverage, freshness and limits

Read at request time.
This source returns publicly visible product information, stamped with the input it was read from and a session id you can trace.
- —Many products have no questions, in which case nothing is returned and nothing is billed.
- —Answers are included inside each question and are not billed separately.
- —Question and answer text is returned as written, including any errors.
