Owler Company Competitors API and MCP — rivals with revenue, funding and CEO
Send a company slug such as uber, or its Owler link, and a max_items limit. You get the competitors Owler lists for that company, ranked, each with name, link, website, CEO, founding year, ownership, sectors, headquarters, revenue and employee estimates and total funding.
- You send
- a company slug or Owler URL, and max_items
- You get back
- Competitors of one Owler company: name, link, CEO, revenue, employees, funding, headquarters and sector.
- Coverage
- Owler records with a public page.
- Price
- 1 point per returned record — $1 per 1,000
- Billed per record actually returned, capped by max_items. A request that returns nothing costs nothing.
Ways to get this data
Three approaches teams use today, and where each one runs into trouble.
| Approach | What it takes | Cost | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owler directly | Open the page on Owler and scroll through the list | Free, and slow | Fine for one record, useless across a list, and the layout differs on every platform |
| Building a scraper | Write it, host it, and repair it when Owler changes its pages | Engineering time | A maintenance commitment for something that isn't your product |
| NeuralVerge | One request, the same shape as every other source in the catalog | $1 per 1,000, misses not billed | Returns what Owler publishes at request time. Other platforms are separate sources with the same request format |

}How to run it
The same lookup works from the app, the API, or as a tool an agent can call mid-task.
Results come back in the same envelope as every other source: a session id, a readable summary, the structured result and the points charged. max_items caps how many records are returned and billed.

Where this field shows up in an actual workflow.
Pull the rivals Owler lists for a company and compare revenue, headcount and funding.
Find look-alike companies to a customer you already work with.
See how funded each competitor is relative to the target.
Add sector and headquarters to build a map of a category.
Coverage, freshness and limits
What this source covers, how fresh it is, and where it stops.
Owler records with a public page.
Read at request time, so the answer reflects the platform as it stands when you ask.
This source returns information Owler shows publicly. Every response carries the session id you can trace.
- —Revenue, employee and funding values are estimates shown by Owler, not audited figures.
- —The CEO block carries a named executive and rating. Treat it as company context, not a profile of the person.
- —The competitor list is Owler's own; it can differ from how you would define competition.
