Response

What you get back

Every field in the response shown above.

FieldTypeDescription
total_itemsnumberHow many postings were returned in this batch.
total_resultsnumberHow many postings the seller has in total.
seller_posting_idnumberNumeric ID of the posting the seller was resolved from.
seller_areastringArea alias the seller posts in.
first_itemobjectThe first returned posting; null when there are none.
itemsarrayThe seller's postings. Each item has the same shape as a Craigslist postings search result.
Integration

How to run it

The same lookup works from the app, the API, or as a tool an agent can call mid-task.

posting is the only required field. max_items caps the result count (up to 500) and sets what you're billed for; category and sort narrow the list. The sample is a real response where the seller had no other postings, so items is empty.

Landlord portfolios

Coverage & limits

Coverage, freshness and limits

What this source covers, how fresh it is, and where it stops.

Coverage

Craigslist postings from the seller of any publicly visible posting.

Freshness

Searched at request time.

Handling

This source returns publicly visible postings, stamped with the posting it started from and a session id you can trace. Postings can include personal details in their text, so handle them under your own privacy obligations.

What it will not do
  • —It starts from a posting you already have; it can't look a seller up by name.
  • —Sellers with no other active postings return an empty list.
  • —Postings are edited, expired and removed often; the list reflects the moment of the request.
